The staff may consist of any combination of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, athletic trainers, and certified conditioning specialists. Adherence to stringent continuing education requirements is a must as is following the Clinic's active teamwork approach philosophy. The service goal of an improved patient functional lifestyle will always be maintained.

 

Supervisory Staff

Joseph O'Connor, PT, SCS

 

Joe, the clinic director and owner of APT&SR, has over fifteen years of experience in the field of physical therapy. He has treated patients with numerous conditions in the clinic, hospital, homecare and workplace settings. Joe received a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University.  He hold a Sports Clinical Specialists (SCS) Certificate which includes a specific competency to serve the athletic population. He is educated in rehabilitation, injury prevention, emergency care, and other areas related to the field of Sports Medicine.  Joe has several years of experience providing rehabilitation and field coverage services to athletes from youth to professional levels.

 

 

George Leung, LPTA, LATC 

George received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern University and Associate's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Newbury College. George is the affiliation site clinical instructor for Physical Therapy Assistant students from North Shore Community College and for Athletic Training students from Endicott College. He is also the coordinator for the Athletic Training services provided for Lynn Classical, Lynn English, Lynn Technical-Vocational, and Danvers High Schools. He has over ten years of Athletic Training and over five years of Physical Therapy Assistant experience. George's clinical skills involve both Western and Eastern approaches to therapy. He has been one of the Athletic Trainers for Danvers High School for over a year.
